Through sophisticated methods, whey can be "isolated" from the raw material's unwanted contents such as fat, cholesterol, lactose, and ultimately yield a whey protein that is more than 90% protein. This purest form is called whey isolate (WPI) and is the most common ingredient in ON 100% Whey Gold Standard, just one example that shows that no cheap raw materials are used.
With ON 100% Whey Gold Standard, the protein content has been further increased. Variations may occur between the different flavors, because different flavorings are added to achieve the right taste! The protein content is between 79 - 82%, and this is a finished product, not the fantasy values that are often used.
For easier absorption and breakdown, enzymes, more whey peptides, a high content of glutamine and branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) have been added.
